Mawingo yearlings well received
Yearlings at the 2018 Tasmanian Magic Millions sale were extremely well received by buyers. Of the 11 Mawingo yearlings sold they averaged in excess of $20,000 with a top price of $47,500 for Lot 21 which was out of California Wish. Both local and mainland buyers purchased the yearlings with leading mainland trainers including Darren Weir, Kris Lees, Anthony Freedman & Terry O’Sullivan purchasing progeny by Mawingo and leading local trainers John Blacker, Adam Trinder, Mark Ganderton & Christine Crook also purchasing Mawingo Yearlings. Luke Murrell from Australian Bloodstock who raced Mawingo stated “He has really stamped his yearlings, they are strong, early types and we are very excited to see them hit the track. Mawingo should have won the Gr. 1 C.F. Orr Stakes over 1,400m and I believe his progeny will have good speed and be relatively early types.” Grenville would like to thank everyone for their support of Mawingo at the recent Tasmanian Magic Millions sale.
